Angie B.I.D; Certificate of Landscape Design
Landscape Architect

Angie Padden holds a Bachelor of Interior Design and a Certificate of Landscape Design, having studied at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University), Yorkville University, and Sheridan College.

In 2019, Angie relocated to Edinburgh to pursue her passion for landscape and garden design. While there, she managed her own business as a gardener and garden designer, balancing her work with weekly volunteering on the herbaceous team and at the art gallery at the Royal Botanic Gardens. In 2021, she moved to Glasgow to expand her reach and focus on larger-scale projects with an emphasis on creating impactful and enduring landscapes.

Prior to her move to the UK, Angie gained professional experience in Toronto, Canada, where she worked as a Playground Designer and an Accessibility Specialist for the Built Environment. Her work spanned healthcare, institutional, mixed-use, and commercial sectors, giving her a broad foundation in functional and inclusive design principles.

Angie is passionate about creating designs that strike a balance between functionality and attractive detailing, ensuring that gardens serve as places of escape and enjoyment. She focuses on creating all-season interest through thoughtful accent planting and uses plants to soften hardscaping while enhancing visual appeal.

Outside of work, Angie enjoys hiking and hill walking as often as possible, visiting art galleries, exploring new cities, and sharing meals or picnics with friends. Autumn, with its rich colours and atmosphere, is her favourite time of year.
